This was a wonderful experience. The food and service was good. The host was welcoming and all the staff were friendly. Our server was Mia and she was attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Angelis was AMAZING serving us ! she was patient & also accommodated us a few times on multiple things including changing our booth last min. The food was great, the music was great, the vibes were great & let’s not forget it’s BYOD so we had a ball !! It’s always a good time when we visit the Skil Lit ...

Skil-Lit Cafe has quickly become my go-to spot for a reliable and enjoyable weekday breakfast when I come back home to Trenton to visit family. What truly stands out is the trifecta of positives: delicious food, impressively quick service, and a genuinely relaxing environment. Starting with the food, everything I've tried has been consistently good. It's the kind of satisfying breakfast that sets you up well for the day ahead without being overly heavy or greasy. However, what really elevates Skil-Lit is their lightning-fast service. Even during what seemed like a busy morning rush, my order was taken promptly and my food arrived at the table in no time. This efficiency is a huge plus for anyone trying to squeeze in a meal before work or other commitments. There's no lingering around waiting, which is exactly what you need for a quick weekday bite.

The food is awesome. I drove an hour to try it and was not disappointed. We had Grit-lit with creamy cheddar grits and plentiful juicy shrimp. Also had A-Lil-lit with yummy country potatoes, sausage, eggs. Both dishes were deliciously seasoned. The peach tea was insanely good. Had a little wait to be seated, and please do watch your step when entering the establishment. However, we were acknowledged upon arrival and knew when our turn to be seated was up. Our server Seiyonne was exceptional. All of our needs were met. Our order was just right, and she kept our peach tea cup full. I can't wait to go back.

What a cute place in Trenton. I really enjoyed myself. I took off 1 star for food because on the menu it stated that the lox toast had everything but the bagel seasoning but mine had plain poppy seeds. Overall it was good. The pancake was yummy, but the iced tea was amazing. Will definitely be back!

First time here and I love all of the dishes we had. I had shrimp and grits with a request of fried eggs on top and it was amazing the spices were perfect the grits were made very well. The employees were fantastic with customer service and I would absolutely come back.

Here for mother's day and skil lit has gone above and beyond with service and quality of food. Adam our server gave me a rose and a complimentary mimosa. He is an absolute gem. I ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap in a spinach wrap and it's so delicious. I don't like my wraps pressed and they always make sure to not press them. I'm writing this review now because I need to take a break. I'm getting full lol.

I took my mom for breakfast...she was hesitant at first because they do not have French toast...BUT the pancakes are amazing. The fish and grits were really good as well. Nice seasoning and crisp. Atmosphere was dope, they played old school R &B the whole time. Our waiter Adam was so sweet. He was complimentary and super hospitable. We enjoyed ourselves. Will be returning.
